WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE'S A SNAKE IN THE GRASS (repost)

Usually, I let sleeping dogs lie, and snakes lie in the grass. That's where they belong, but today I can no longer allow dangerous poisonous snakes to lie in wait ready to attack with unsavory venom. It's not often that I blast anyone in a public forum. That's not cool, it’s not tasteful, as karma has a way of coming back to you.

I'm a good person, as many of those 600 something FB friends of mine would know... a little wayward - a little off, but willing to give the shirt off my back, or more than likely out of my trunk or inside my car... you get the point.

In October and November, in the midst of raising a son, teaching a class of very special needs kids where I was getting beat up almost every day, going to grad school, faithfully serving in church, and maintaining a minimum amount of sanity, I dedicated much of my extra time, burning the midnight oil to serve for the November 2010 Houston hair show. I and several other ladies did the same. We were dedicated to the cause of natural hair, health, and genuine success of black beauty and business here in Houston and surrounding communities. The show was a success off of our backs, hard work, dedication, tenacity, resourcefulness, prayers, and steadfast spirits. The organizer was devious and quite frank unprofessional, as I said a snake in the grass as she had horrible practices quite similar to those of con artists. bait and switch, lies, deceit, overall just deception, and ungodly like behavior (I recall a trip from Dallas, a conversation was had in which the organizer of that show was criticized and name called as a regular occurrence). People, successful business persons (and friends of ours) were lied to about the benefits of donating time, service, and goods by her and her “advisers.” Friendships were affected, some lost. Items for raffle or donation were lost in translation only to be “found” and donated for other causes. Contest winners were deceived about their prizes, if they ever received them. Volunteers were mistreated and talked to worse than decrepit, stray, mange ridden animals. Some volunteers were “fired.”

We dedicated ourselves and our very little “extra” time to the success of the show at the end of the day because we wanted it to succeed and our names were tagged onto this project like letterman on his own show.

At this time, the nice person you know me to be has taken a seat, as the reformed bish is coming into play. The organizer is going too far to drag the girl's names through the mud as we built the show from start (concept- anyone remember That 70’s Party?) to finish (i was one of the last ones to leave the Power Center as i was running the show as "stage manager"). Stylists, fashion designers, models, model calls, entertainment, publishing, media, press, press release, swag bags, volunteers, craigslist, social media, sound, lighting, staging, vendors, travel, oooo my, the list goes on and on and on, we did- just us, no one else, and for no pay. No appreciation. no gratification. Literally, at the end of the day, we parted ways with the show’s organizer only to find a mere approximate 7 days to have names sludged through mud, murky water, and lies.

As the Houston hair show approaches, trying to procure and secure a wonderful show for the public, we are encountering persons who have indicated the depth of deception this woman really is as she's lying and pulling people into her conceptualized victimization. (she's never been mistreated by us or any one of the ladies or guys associated with putting together the show). This can go on and on, but I can't take any more phone calls or text messages or emails or whispers in regards to this matter without pinpointing THERE IS A POISIONOUS SNAKE IN THE GRASS, AND SHE IS MARRIED TO A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING.

I have wished the woman well, as she’s doing great things in the arena of whatever she’s doing. She should, just on the principle of professionalism, and support of differences, do the same. Good day snake, some people no longer want to participate in your tempting of poisonous fruit.
